The theme for July 2021 is National Give Something Away Day, which started in USA but has been adopted in the UK, on 15 July.

National Give Something Away Day
The picture of the free library in the park above is actually from Romania, inspired by the book-crossing initiative across the rest of Europe. The council (tourist board?) has installed ‘libraries’ in parks with an initial set of books, and asked that you borrow and return one, or if you want to keep it then replace it with another book. This idea brings together the ideas of being in the outdoors (for your mental health), attracting you to the park (to appreciate and engage with the environment) and supporting your community (spirit) by the sharing of resources.
